Renee's Adoptables: Meet Missy

Meet Missy!

Do not miss out on Missy! She is a sweet, tan and white Husky/Black Mouth Cur mix. Missy is 52 lbs. and 7 years old. She is a beloved family dog who must now find a new home.

Missy does well with other dogs and is good with kids but can be too much for younger children so she would do best with children over 5 years of age. She feels that cats are not suitable to become of friend of hers so she would need a cat free home. She can hang with other dogs and enjoy the company. This girl might be older, but she can still keep up with the younger crowd.

This clever girl walks nicely on a leash and is crate trained. Missy continues to work on her house-training skills so she can prefect them for her fore family. She would love to go on a walk with you and relax at your feet. Missy is a great dog with lots of love to give as she gets to know her new people.

This beautiful girl is ready to find her new forever home. She is well beyond the puppy stage but still has playful energy. Like with any adoption, it will take time to adjust to new surroundings and people, but this sweet gal will do well in a home that offers her care and compassion.

The adoption fee for Missy is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

About Dog Star Rescue

Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.

All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
